GUERLAIN: What began with perfume has developed into a global cosmetics empire whose product range also includes make-up and accessories. The company was founded in Paris in 1828 by Pierre-François Pascal Guerlain. His creations soon became an insider's tip among the haute volee. His success earned him the title of "Royal Court Perfumer" in France. The Spanish queens Victoria and Isabella II were also among his customers.
