A fragrance with historical significance that was created in 1853 especially for Empress Eugénie, the wife of Napoleon III: The Eau de Cologne Impériale by Guerlain is a timeless composition. The invigorating freshness of citrus fruits such as lemon and bergamot opens the fragrance experience. The fine notes of neroli then unfold, giving the eau de cologne its floral character. The composition is characterised by its lightness and sophistication and is an expression of classic elegance. The bottle itself is a tribute to the French Empire. It is decorated with 69 bees, the symbol of the empire, and bears the coat of arms chosen by Napoleon himself.
