A striking design in deep black with shiny golden accents characterises the bottle of the Montale Oud Island Eau de Parfum spray. The characteristic brand logo is emblazoned on the front, while a small golden pendant on the spray head rounds off the visual appearance. Launched in 2023, this composition opens olfactorily with a lively top note characterised by the fresh nuances of Sicilian bergamot, mandarin and Italian lemon. As the fragrance develops, a multi-layered heart unfolds, in which powerful Nepalese oud and black leather meet the floral aspects of tiare blossom and Indian tuberose. This central accord is complemented by creamy sandalwood and so-called solar notes, which lend the arrangement a certain brightness. A substantial base of musk, amber and labdanum forms the foundation of the creation. Tobacco, ambergris and unusual accents of dried coconut chips ensure a rounded finish. The combination of initially fresh citrus facets and the deep, woody and leathery elements that dominate later creates a fragrance profile rich in contrast.
