Use
Break off a small piece of the soap bar or remove a small amount from the jar. Pour your shaving soap into the shaving bowl and fill with hot or warm water. Now take the shaving brush and lather up the soap. This is very easy to do with circular movements. The shaving soap is so soft due to the warm water that you do not need to exert much pressure to lather it up. Spread the lather over your face, chin and neck. Always use a small amount of shaving soap and, if necessary, add a little more and stir in new lather.
