Wella Illumina Color ME+ is a permanent cream hair colour that has been specially developed for sophisticated and multi-faceted blonde tones. Visually, the packaging features a vertical design with gentle transitions between pink and purple tones, which emphasises the modern character of the brand. At the centre of the formulation is the innovative Microlight Technology, which protects the hair surface and can therefore create extraordinary, translucent light reflections. This is complemented by the integrated Metal Purifier, which can help to neutralise metal ions in the hair and optimise the colour result. A special technical feature of this line is the patented ME+ molecule. This has been designed to reduce the risk of developing allergies to hair colour, although the shades should not be mixed with other lines in order to maintain this effect. Four specific trend shades are available, such as Light Light Blonde Pearl Ash or Light Blonde Mahogany Cendré, which enable precise results. According to the manufacturer, the vegan formula offers up to 100 per cent grey coverage and can be lightened by up to three shades. To use, the colour is mixed in a 1:1 ratio with the matching developer.

Before applying a hair tint, moisten your hair and then lightly towel-dry it. Then put on the gloves that come with the tint and apply the paste to your fingers. The hair colour is then worked in from the roots to the ends. You can spread the colour through your hair with your fingers or with a comb. The result is more even if the colour is distributed with a comb. The colour remains in the hair for around 20 to 30 minutes to achieve the desired result. The hair is then rinsed until clear water can be seen. After tinting, the hair is not washed for 24 to 48 hours.
