Calvin Klein perfume
Calvin Klein is not just a cult in the fashion industry. Calvin Klein perfumes are easily impressive too. It seems that the American fashion designer’s distinct flair for trends is not just limited to clothing.Calvin Klein – from clothing to perfume
Calvin Klein was born in 1942 in the Bronx, New York, as the son of Jewish immigrants. Even at a young age, he taught himself to draw and paint. From 1960 to 1962, the ambitious young designer studied at the Fashion Institute for Technology in New York. After several jobs, he, together with his friend Barry Schwartz, finally founded his own label, which would become one of the biggest fashion brands in the world in just a few years. The international breakthrough finally came when he, pursuing an ingenious idea, made the classic men’s fine rib briefs into a style icon with the help of his signature on the elasticated waistband. He also introduced the all-American look into the fashion industry and made an impression with his consistently sleek style of high-quality jersey fabrics, which bring a certain degree of ‘understatement’. There was a storm of indignation as a result of his jeans campaign with the then 15-year-old Brooke Shields, which laid the foundations of his subsequent fame.Numerous other successful advertising campaigns for the fragrances and perfumes led to Calvin Klein perfume becoming inextricably associated with a certain type of young, slender women - think Kate Moss or Christy Turlington. Calvin Klein was showered with many fashion awards throughout his career and became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. At the end of 2002, Calvin Klein and his childhood friend and co-founder Barry Schwartz sold their company to the Phillips-Van Heusen group.
