The Characters fragrance line from Histoires de Parfums is inspired by important, mostly creative personalities from contemporary history. The writer Ernest Hemingway, whose works include "The Old Man and the Sea", was also known as an adventurer who travelled the world from America to Italy, Spain and Cuba. The 1899 Ernest Hemingway Eau de Parfum Spray is as faceted as Hemingway himself. It is based on an earthy base of vetiver and ambergris, which is given that certain something by a hint of vanilla. The floral middle note is formed from delicate orange blossom and soft iris blossom, which are refined with aromatic cinnamon. The top note is invigorating and refreshing thanks to the combination of juicy bergamot and juniper. Black pepper gives the fragrance an excitingly spirited touch.

In order for men's perfume to really come into its own, it is always sprayed very sparingly and directly onto the skin. The chosen fragrance is quickly released through body heat.
