What does LGBTQIA+ mean?

LGBTQIA+ stands for: Lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, inter*, asexual – and the ‘+’ denotes all the many other identities and forms of expression. The asterisk (*) means an open, inclusive term that encompasses all variants and identities within the community.

Christopher Street Day commemorates the Stonewall Riots of 1969 in New York, which were considered to be a pivotal moment in the LGBTQIA+ rights movement Today we celebrate it as a symbol of diversity, visibility and equality.
