Hans Kniebes Lederwaren combines tradition with quality and design
1926 marks the year in which Hans Kniebes founded his company. At that time, however, the entrepreneur had no intention of manufacturing leather goods. In the early days, Kniebes supplied the Solingen nail care industry with blades and scissors. Somewhere along the line the company founder decided to manufacture the manicure implements himself, because among other reasons, he wasn’t always happy with what other companies made with his blades. And so HK Manicure was born. Deeper discontent in the 1960s then saw manicure instrument production being joined by Hans Kniebes leather goods. After all, the company founder wanted his first-class nail care implements to be stored in equally high-quality cases, toiletry bags and wash bags. This was such a success that the range was extended to include purses and wallets, jewellery boxes and desk accessories. Today the label, whose HK Manicure range produces more than just nail care instruments for the discerning customer, is also globally renowned for its exquisite, partially handmade leather products. Already in its third generation, the company continues to deliver the same quality workmanship as it did in the very beginning.
